    About this opportunity:Home-Start Lochgelly is a voluntary organisation which offers regular support, friendship and practical help to young families living in the geographical area of Kelty, Crossgates, Hill of Beath, Cowdenbeath, Lumphinnans, Lochgelly and Ballingry.
    Volunteers should be parents or grandparents and willing to receive training and support. By sharing their time and friendship, volunteers offer families an opportunity to develop new relationships, ideas and skills. In addition we offer weekly family groups and are partners in the Mellow Parenting Programmes.

    Minimum age:16
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:There is a 4/5 session Prep Course. Final interview with a Board Member. 6/8 volunteer training session on topics discussed during feedback from volunteers during supervision.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Bus fares or mileage (at 40p per mile) will be reimbursed.

    Experience required:Warm. Open. Friendly approach to family life. Non-judgemental.
