    About this opportunity:Kirkcaldy Old Kirk Trust are responsible for preserving and maintaining Kirkcaldy Old Kirk as a community venue, heritage centre and community music hub. Are you interested in history? Do you enjoy sewing? This may be the opportunity for you.

    Volunteers are required to make costumes for living history events where fellow volunteers participate in events as characters from the past, celebrating and sharing the heritage of the local area with visitors. The role will involve researching and designing historical outfits and the opportunity to use your creative flair.

    Maximum age:100
    Training provided:There is an induction for all volunteers and ongoing training will be provided as required. The induction will cover a brief history of the KOKT and the roles and responsibilities of volunteers, the policies and procedures as they appertain to the volunteers and an introduction to the named person for their role. The procedure for claiming expenses will be explained a tour of the Kirk/Gardens will be provided.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses will be paid monthly however individual agreements for payment can be agreed. Public transport rates of 40p per mile apply.

    Experience required:Experience required: Sewing skills and an interest in history. Flexibility is also required due to nature and timing of events.
