OpportunityAbout this opportunity: The Museum of Communication aims to study, collect, preserve and exhibit items that tell the story of communication from the days of pre-electric telegraph to the latest state-of-the-art technology. The museum is run entirely by volunteers, and they are looking to grow their team with Exhibition Volunteers.
As an Exhibition Volunteer, you can get involved with designing exhibitions, coming up with ideas for new exhibitions and the items included; running exhibitions; cataloguing and photographing collections; and documenting items and their origins. The museum has permanent collections as well as new temporary exhibitions every summer. Visitors come from across Fife and beyond to see their collections and the museum team is always happy to hear new ideas to engage their visitors.
If you would like to gain experience in a museum environment and have an interest in communications and history, this is the perfect role for you.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays 
Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays Minimum age: 16 Maximum age: 100 Training provided: Volunteers will be given a full induction to the museum, and will be able to shadow an existing volunteer. Out of pocket expenses paid?
