About this opportunity: | Can you spare 1-2 hours per week to support vulnerable people within your community who are experiencing social isolation?
Wellbeing Scotland are a voluntary organisation with services across Scotland • They provide a wide range of holistic services for individuals and families whose life experiences have impacted negatively on their wellbeing • Wellbeing Scotland are recruiting Distance Volunteers to provide support to people experiencing social isolation, with an emphasis on building the confidence and self-esteem of the service user • This role will involve regular telephone calls with the person you are matched with • Volunteers Befrienders are expected to establish and maintain a meaningful relationship with the service user, offering support and signposting to other relevant support services as and when required • All necessary training will be provided, and volunteers will be supported throughout by the Volunteer Coordinator • |

Training provided: | We offer an excellent induction process to embed our new volunteers into the organisation. Training and support is offered for all volunteers within the organisation with multiple CPD and progression opportunities. |
