    About this opportunity:To provide support to isolated people aged 65 and older by visiting them (weekly or fortnightly) to help reduce their social isolation
     •  Main tasks Meet with members (weekly, two-weekly) for a mutually agreed length of time Being mindful of capabilities and limitations of the member, encourage them to take part in activities Maintain confidentiality regarding client information Take part in mandatory induction training and any other relevant training Attend planned regular reviews with LinkLiving staff Submit relevant expenses and receipts on a monthly basis Attend mandatory induction training and any other training relevant to the post Attend regular volunteer support sessions Operate within LinkLiving policies and procedures and any other relevant guidelines and Legislation

    Training provided:You'll be provided with full induction training plus any other training which may be relevant e.g. first aid, manual handling health & safety, dementia awareness as well as many other options. There are extensive training opportunities and regular meetings with other befrienders and Link Living volunteers. Twice yearly outings for everyone involved in the project is also on offer, as well as support and supervision from the Project Workers.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Public transport and mileage to and from volunteer's house to member's house or social cafe venue will be reimbursed.
