    About this opportunity:A volunteer befriender carries out visits in their own homes or at a mutully agreed location to keep in touch with members of the RAF family on behalf of the RAF Association
     •  Volunteers exist to provide companionship and outcome focussed support a beneficiary and to ensure that they remain part of the community and feel socially connected to the wider RAF family
     •  The role is varied and the service spans all ages and is flexible to suit everyone
     •  The volunteer will meet regularly with the beneficiary to promote self esteem, reduce isolation and identify ways for beneficiaries to engage in social groups and activities
     •  Volunteers will keep accurate notes of all visits and activities undertaken and feed back this information the the Area Welfare Manager
