  About this opportunity:	A rewarding opportunity has become available to be part of a friendly committee and an empowering social network  •  CONNECT Friends club is all about addressing loneliness and they now need a Secretary/Administrator to help them manage their growing membership and community involvement  •  This position would require you to attend committee meetings every 8 weeks and to prepare and distribute the paperwork for these meetings  •  It would be good if you could come along to CONNECT most Friday s as well and join the fun  •  You would have a specific role to co-ordinate the volunteers who provide the refreshments and it would be extremely useful if you could help out with other administration tasks and assist with the general support of the organisation  •  This opportunity would suit someone who is friendly, willing and helpful and can use a computer and email  •  As a committee we are open to new ideas for CONNECT and through this role you will help to keep CONNECT running smoothly
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	18
  Maximum age:	100
  Training provided:	Informal chats, orientation
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - Reasonable travel expenses mileage 45p per mile or public transport cost
  Experience required:	Reliable, friendly and helpful personality. Willing to contribute and participate in CONNECT they will have to be able to use a computer and email
  Restrictions on who can volunteer	It is stated in the constitution that minimum age for election to the Management committee is 18
