  About this opportunity:	The aim of Care and Share Companionship is to provide support to people over the age of 60 who are living in isolation or loneliness in the Kirkcaldy area  •  We offer volunteer companionship to help improve health, well-being and confidence  •  Volunteer companions provide face to face, telephone or shopping support giving their time for an hour or two per week / fortnight, going for short walks together, attending groups of interest, going to local cafes for tea/coffee or just chatting with a friend will build a rapport and establish mutual respect and understanding giving both the Friend and Volunteer a positive experience  •
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	18
  Maximum age:	100
  Training provided:	Induction and ongoing relevant supportive training to the role
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - By car or public transport within Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas.
  Experience required:	No formal experience necessary, being able to listen and have a good conversation is all that is needed
  Restrictions on who can volunteer	No restrictions were specified.

  Taster available?	Yes: There is an option to go on a 'shadow visit' with a member of staff or to come along and help out at an event to see what it's all about
