About this opportunity:
Collydean Community Centre is seeking volunteer tutors to help with thier proposed homework club to help children and young people with their homework • This opportunity would suit a university student looking for teaching experience, or retired or semi-retired tutors/lecturers/teachers • They expect the club to have all age ranges from primary to secondary school attending • The centre is currently revamping its program for children and young people and by providing a homework club they are giving these children a chance to bounce ideas off each other, but to also access help and advice from experienced tutors • The time commitment would be a minimum of 2 hours a week, in the late afternoon and evenings • They are especially keen to hear from people with experience in tutoring numeracy and literacy •
