About this opportunity:
Silverburn are relaunching their Cottage Window take-away Cafe and invite volunteers to come along and help them make bacon rolls, soup, sandwiches, home-baking, barista-style coffee and other hot drinks • Volunteers will receive training on how to use the coffee machine as well as baking skills, dealing with customers and other tasks as required • A food hygiene certificate will also be offered if the volunteer doesn't already have this •
Volunteers will also need to handle cash and help clean & clear up (there's an outside sheltered sitting area) • The cafe is open 10-2pm Monday to Thursday and ideally you would volunteer for these 4 hours, but 10-12 or 12-2pm is also fine, 1 or more days a week •
As in other catering environment, volunteers should have a good level of personal hygiene and presentation •
