    About this opportunity:The Community Hub is looking for volunteers to help run the Cafe
     •  The role will involve:- Preparing and cooking food
     •  Serving food and drink
     •  Keeping records in line with food regulations
     •  Welcoming people in and chatting with them
     •  Signposting people to other services the Hub or local services can provide
     •  Washing up and clearing away, keeping the kitchen and cafe clean
    Takes place:
    Minimum age:18
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:Introduction to organisation and facilities, trial day, shadowing offered.Opportunities for further training as and when available e.g. food hygiene, nutrition, etc. One-to-one support is available from the Project Manager.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Public transport rates are paid and reimbursed every day/week or as required. Mileage rates are 45p per mile.

    Experience required:Previous cooking/catering experience appreciated but not essential. Friendly, welcoming, outgoing personality important, honesty, trustworthiness and willingness to work on own initiative necessary. Car driver preferred as there may be a need to do food collections.

    Travel DetailsThe Cafe will be running from the St Andrews Football and Social Club at Langlands Rd, St Andrews. There is ample parking and bus stops nearby. The Club is also easily reached on foot from the town centre and beaches.
