About this opportunity:
Circle of Comfort is a Fife-based charity that provides complementary therapies to people diagnosed with Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease, in their own home or in hospital, free of charge •
Circle of Comfort is managed by a voluntary Executive Committee of Trustees and the board meets on a three-monthly basis, usually in Dunfermline however meetings are currently being held via zoom video conferencing • We have an opening for a Treasurer to join the team and this role requires someone who has a qualification in accountancy •
The role of the Treasurer will be to:
Liaise with the Chairperson and Executive Committee members to ensure the financial viability of the organisation (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc) •
Undertake bookkeeping duties and ensuring posting and bookkeeping is kept up-to-date •
Arrange payments to creditors as appropriate and arrange appropriate signatures/authorisations on payments •
Attend the organisation's Executive Meetings (three times per year) and the Annual General Meeting and report on the financial position (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc) •
Prepare the annual accounts for submission to OSCR and liaise with an independent examiner •

Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Expenses paid by BACS at 40p per mile. plus any out of pocket expenses
A qualification in accountancy is required for this role as well as knowledge and experience of current and fundraising financial practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations. Ability to communicate clearly.
