  About this opportunity:	Our volunteers are the lifeblood of Poppyscotland  •  Volunteers will be joining a team that covers every city, town and village in Scotland  •  A team that helps us pin nearly five million poppies onto Scotland's coats, jackets and jumpers  •  Poppyscotland is currently looking for an Area Organiser for the Scottish Poppy Appeal in Kirkcaldy  •  An Area Organiser fulfils a critically important role, ensuring that poppies are available for sale in their local area during the campaign  •  With assistance from Poppyscotland, an Area Organiser will gather together a team of volunteer collectors and together they will distribute poppies to outlets and schools  •  Depending on the size of the area, they may also organise street, supermarket, event or house to house collections  •  The money raised by an Area Organiser by selling poppies goes directly to making a life-changing difference to our Armed Forces community  •
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays

  Training provided:	This opportunity includes full induction training with a Poppyscotland staff member on how to carry out the role.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - All out-of-pocket expenses, if required, will be reimbursed, including expenses for travel and meals. However, expenses must be agreed in advance.
  Experience required:	Good organisation and communication skills. Innovative. Knowledge of local area. A general interest in Poppyscotland. Good general health. Trustworthy and friendly. Previous experience of fundraising would be an advantage but is not essential.
