    About this opportunity:Local Fundraising Groups are dedicated to raising funds for local nurses by holding collections and events so that Marie Curie can continue to care for people with terminal illnesses in their own homes
     •  As Fundraising Group Secretary, you will use your excellent organisational skills to carry out the administration for your group
     •  This involves dealing with group correspondence and recording and circulating notes from group meetings
     •  By volunteering with us, you'll play an important role in supporting our charity locally
     •  We'll provide all the materials and guidance you need and you'll have regular support from your local fundraiser, Jennifer
     •  You'll also meet new people in your area who share your wish to support Marie Curie
    Takes place:
    Minimum age:18
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:The volunteer will meet the local fundraiser to fully discuss the role.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Volunteer expenses are paid monthly. Travel can be reimbursed on production of receipts and 45p per mile can be claimed for essential journeys. Please get in touch for full details of expenses which can be claimed.

    Experience required:Good administrative and organisational skills. Good written communication skills. The ability to work on your own initiative. Basic IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and email. A genuine desire in, and desire to support the work of, Marie Curie.
