    About this opportunity:We are looking for committed volunteers to be trained and work with Fife's international community, and to lead informal conversation cafe classes in a relaxed atmosphere
     •  Conversation Cafes are a safe and relaxed place for people to learn English and to gain confidence using the language
     •  You don't need a special qualification in teaching English to become our volunteer, as classes are very informal and are a great opportunity to meet other people and learn about their culture
     •  Conversation Cafes are for people who are living in the UK but who do not speak English as a first language
     •  These students are most commonly refugees and immigrants and need to learn the language in order to help them settle into UK society
     •  Occasionally we will be inviting speakers from the NHS, Fife Council, Fife Cultural Trust and will welcome any suggestions from the group
    Takes place:
    Minimum age:16
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:Introduction to volunteering and working with groups. Training on what the cafes are and hints and tips on running classes.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Public transport costs and mileage at 45p per mile reimbursed.

    Experience required:Volunteers should be friendly, approachable and have good communication skills.
