About this opportunity:
Inside the craft centre, it is full of colour from users' wares and artwork from students at Adam Smith College • The middle of the room is taken up by a large craft table where youngsters can enjoy painting fridge magnets, making ceramics, paper mache models and knitting with some of the hut's volunteers •
The centre benefits from a tuck shop style snack bar, offering hot and cold drinks as well as crisps, chocolate, ice creams and it even hires out footballs and cricket sets to park users •
This is an ideal opportunity to meet new people and be part of a service making a real difference in the local community •
All volunteers will receive a structured induction period to familiarise them with the work of MyBus in general and their own area of work in particular. Training will also be given as appropriate to help fulfil their role effectively and as funds permit
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - 40 pence per mile is payable for car drivers. Bus fares are reimbursed in cash on a weekly basis on production of a valid bus ticket.
No experience required. An interest in arts and crafts would be beneficial.
