About this opportunity:
Friary Community Garden is a beautiful open space in the heart of Inverkeithing, situated to the rear of the Civic Centre • Run by and for local people, it is a project where people from all walks of life come together to appreciate and enhance their environment •
Situated on a south facing slope, the garden has fantastic views over Inverkeithing Bay and over the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh •
The Friary comprises raised vegetable plots, an orchard, seating and a wildlife area • Tending the garden is a communal effort by a dedicated team of volunteers • The team is now busy clearing, tidying and planting for the summer season - come and have a look! The main tasks include general garden maintenance, bed renovation and grounds development •

Volunteers should be enthusiastic, friendly and good teamworkers. Knowledge of gardening is not essential but would help!
Volunteers will work in supervised groups led by other volunteers. Some tasks are physically demanding and require a level of manual dexterity. Volunteers will work to the Community Garden's health & safety policies and procedures.
