     •  The role is diverse, taking place on the shop floor and behind the scenes
     •  Volunteer tasks include anything from sorting donations, steaming clothes, pricing products, managing the till, and helping with the window displays
     •  You can choose how much time you dedicate, no special skills are needed, and they welcome people from all nationalities and backgrounds
     •  Your donation of time, creativity and kindness can help them change the future for children all over the world!

    Training provided:Training is then provided on an ongoing basis as and when required (new procedures/till training etc).
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - we pay public transport rates and reimburse volunteers every week. Also include mileage rates if applicable. We can cover all reasonable travel expenses on the day when provided with the receipt.

    Experience required:We are looking for people who are friendly, enjoy being part of a diverse team and keen to get stuck into the day to day tasks of charity retail. No previous experience is necessary as all training and support will be provided on an ongoing basis.

    Taster available?Yes: All volunteers are provided with an initial Welcome and Training induction - this covers all aspects of the day to day charity retail including health and safety, communication and shop processes.

    Travel DetailsThe Save the Children Shop is located in 4B Greyfriars Gardens, St Andrews (KY16 9HA). It is just off the central shopping street in St Andrews, along from the Student Union and near Toppings Book Shop. The St Andrews bus station is a short 5 minute walk away if travelling from outside of town.
