    About this opportunity:Our clients are referred to us through doctors, nurses, social workers, home helps, neighbours and family members
     •  In providing transport services, car ownership is essential and confidence in assisting individuals who may be frail or vulnerable
     •  The role of our volunteers is to be supportive and essential qualities are discretion and tact
     •  Volunteers receive a mileage allowance and any "out of pocket" expenses
     •  Our Co-ordinator plans the work of the volunteers
     •  All volunteers are required to have criminal record disclosures
    Takes place:
    Minimum age:18
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:Co-ordinator provides ongoing support to volunteers.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - 45p per mile can be paid as and when requested. Generally fortnightly.

    Experience required:Experienced drivers, confident in working with vulnerable clients. Discretion and tact.

    Travel DetailsThe geographical area we cover is North-East Fife but volunteers providing transport with their own vehicles may have to travel to major hospitals in Dundee, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and Edinburgh.
