| About this opportunity: | Grandmentors Fife is an intergenerational mentoring programme supporting young people aged 16–26 who may have experienced care, trauma, or challenges with their mental health • They are looking for volunteer mentors (typically aged 50+) to build a positive, one-to-one relationship with a young person and support them to move forward in life • As a mentor, you’ll meet regularly with a young person, offering encouragement, sharing life experience, and helping them develop confidence, independence, and skills around things like education, employment, and wellbeing • This is a flexible and rewarding role where you can make a real difference in your local community • Full training, ongoing support, and expenses are provided • If you’re a good listener, patient, and committed, this could be a great opportunity to give something back • | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Training provided: | Volunteers receive a full induction covering various topics including the mentoring role, boundaries, safeguarding, trauma awareness and communication skills. Ongoing training opportunities are available, along with regular support from a dedicated staff member. Volunteers will have check-ins, guidance when needed, and opportunities to connect with other mentors. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Out of pocket expenses paid? | Yes - Reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed, including public transport or mileage where appropriate. Expenses are claimed and reimbursed on a monthly basis at a rate of 45p per mile | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
