    About this opportunity:Burntisland Community Suppers (a subgroup of Burntisland Community Development Trust) provide a warm 2-course meal every Saturday evening from November to March for the Burntisland community
     •  The suppers are operated on a ‘pay as you can’ basis and are enjoyed by a wide range of people
     •  Some come to enjoy company, some come for a hot meal they struggle to make themselves, some come to provide a meal for their family in times of rising food prices and others come for something different to do in town on a Saturday evening
     •  The suppers are completely volunteer run and there are many different roles available each week including front of house, assisting the cook, dishwashing, food shopping and greeting diners
     •  Volunteers are supported to complete training such as food hygiene certification and first aid
     •  There are also opportunities to join our organising committee and get involved with fundraising, organising events, training, finance, marketing and social media engagement

    Training provided:Induction covers introduction of roles, responsibilities and procedures. All volunteers are given a volunteer handbook with role profiles. New volunteers are assigned someone to shadow for their first shifts. Ongoing training includes food hygiene, manual handling and first aid.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Expenses will cover local travel (bus or car mileage) 45p per mile

    Experience required:Skills and experience in bookkeeping, charity governance, financial management and social media are desirable but not essential. Good communication skills, open minded, a willingness to learn with the ability to inspire others to take action on projects to help the community

    Restrictions on who can volunteer
    No formal skills or experience needed, training provided. Volunteers should be community minded, able to work and communicate in a team and a have willingness to get involved.
