    About this opportunity:Furniture Plus provides affordable furniture to people in Fife through their Dysart and Dunfermline stores, supporting the community and the environment by reducing waste and encouraging reuse
     •  The collection and delivery of items is an essential part of the service provided, and Furniture Plus currently require van crew to support the driver to carry out deliveries and collections The main tasks include: -Assisting in the loading and unloading of vehicles in the warehouse -Assist with house/office clearances and the delivery of items to customers' homes -Follow Healthy and Safety and GDPR regulations -Maintain customer confidentiality -Assist with vehicle checks -Assist in maintaining standards of service and customer satisfaction If you enjoy practical tasks and making a difference in the community Furniture Plus would love to hear from you

    Training provided:A full induction (Health & Safety) will be provided. Each volunteer will be partnered up with a fully experienced member of staff.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses are paid at 10p per mile for walking, 24p per mile for a motorbike, 45p per mile for driving and full payment for bus tickets. These expenses are available on a case by case basis

    Experience required:A knowledge and experience of manual handling would be beneficial but not essential as this role involves the lifting of heavy furniture items. Furniture Plus are happy to receive volunteers who are willing and keen to learn new skills, whilst growing confidence, meeting new people, have fun and feeling part of your local community.
