    About this opportunity:Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland's national dementia charity
     •  Their aims are Prevent, Care, Cure and their mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone
     •  They are looking for Community Support volunteers
     •  This role will support the activity of a social group that enjoys a variety of table top activities from musical quizzes, games, playing snooker and making friends and memories over a cuppa
     •  People living with dementia, their family and friends and anyone with an interest in dementia can attend this activity group
     •  The role may vary but is likely to include; -Offering a warm welcome to people who attend
     •  -Listening and interacting with people living with dementia, family members who attend the group and taking part in the activities
     •  -Keeping up to date with Alzheimer Scotland news and our work across Scotland

    Training provided:The volunteer with have a volunteer induction training session with the Volunteer Co-Ordinator. Then ongoing training relevant to the volunteer role and corporate policies e.g. Dementia Friends training; Brain Health training.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses will be reimbursed monthly. Public transport expenses will be reimbursed on production of a valid receipt. Mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile if the volunteer uses their own vehicle.
