    About this opportunity:PICTS is dedicated to alleviating poverty and assisting those in need in Scotland by providing essential care packages, food, clothing and long-term support for veterans, homeless and those living in poverty
     •  They are looking for a chef who can prepare approximately 500 meals every second Saturday in the Maxwell Centre, Cowdenbeath
     •  The role involves shopping for the required ingredients on the Thursday/Friday and preparing the meals on the Saturday
     •  The meals are frozen prior to distribution to those in need
     •  The chef will be assisted by a small team of kitchen staff who prepare the ingredients for cooking
     •  If you have experience of cooking a range of meals for large numbers and enjoy supporting your local community and those in need, this may be the role for you

    Training provided:An induction will be provided, and the volunteer will have the opportunity to observe the current chef to gain an understanding of the role. Ongoing training will be provided.

    Yes - Travel expenses will be reimbursed on a case by case basis at public transport rates.

    Experience required:Experience of cooking for large numbers of people and working as part of a team are essential. A current food hygiene certificate is essential.
