    About this opportunity:Meal Makers is a local neighbourhood food-sharing project that connects people who love cooking, and who are happy to share an extra portion of home cooked food, with an older neighbour who would really appreciate a freshly prepared meal and a friendly chat
     •  Time required to complete would be roughly 2 hours per week or fortnight and times are agreed between yourself and the diner
     •  They try where possible to match people locally so this can be fitted in alongside your other commitments
     •  If you like cooking and meeting older people, this is the perfect role for you
     •  You may have lost your joy of cooking and feeling isolated too, share the food and make a friend for life

    Training provided:Volunteers will be offered an induction and training will consist of watching videos to understand the role. There may be the opportunity for further training throughout the role. There is a dedicated member of staff available to discuss any issues with volunteers.

    Yes - Travel expenses can be discussed on a case by case basis.

    Experience required:No previous experience is required just someone who enjoys cooking and is happy to chat with a local elderly person. Volunteers should have a cheerful outlook and be able to cook simple meals.
