| Training provided: | There are opportunities to attend a taster and visit other local macular groups in Fife, meet with existing volunteers and attend training. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Out of pocket expenses paid? | Yes - We can pay public transport rates and can reimburse volunteers every week if needed. Mileage may also be paid if reasonable. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Experience required: | If you get a buzz from helping others, then this role is perfect for you. Reliable and friendly volunteers needed, and you don't need to have a macular condition nor sight loss; empathy and an understanding of its impact will help you to provide the best support.

| Taster available? | Yes: there are other Macular Society groups in Fife that can be attended to experience a group meeting. Other volunteers will be available for a chat and it is a good opportunity to get a feel for how a group is run. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Travel Details | Cosmos Community Centre, Abbey Walk, St Andrews - The group meet at the Cosmos Centre in St Andrews on the fourth Tuesday of every month (excluding July and December). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Saltire Award | This opportunity is compatible with the Saltire Awards for volunteers aged 12-25. |
