    About this opportunity:They are looking for volunteer befrienders to help them expand their growing service
     •  Volunteer befrienders provide one to one befriending to a socially isolated older person, visiting them in their home and/or taking them out to take part in activities in their local community
     •  This could be popping in once a week for a cup of tea or supporting the befriendee to become more confident or join in community activities
     •  This role is to: - meet with an older person once per week for a mutually agreed length of time - encourage involvement in activities, being mindful of the befriendee's abilities and limitations - maintain confidentiality regarding befriendee information - take part in mandatory induction training and any other relevant training - take part in planned regular reviews with LinkLiving staff - ensure relevant expenses are claimed and receipts are kept on a monthly basis - attend induction training and any other training relevant to the post - operate within LinkLiving policies and procedures and any other relevant guidelines and Legislation
     •  - raise any concerns regarding members’ wellbeing with LinkLiving staff Please note, volunteer befrienders will not be asked to meet any personal care needs

    Yes - 45p per mile bus/ rail fares are reimbursed (ticket needed)
