    About this opportunity:At CHAS we care for children throughout Scotland and we're here for the whole family
     •  Whether at home, in hospital, or visiting our hospices, we give families the care and support they need, when they need it
     •  CHAS runs a number of charity shops across Scotland, selling donated stock as well as new goods to raise the vital funds required to care for children and their families
     •  You will be volunteering within our retail team, assisting with the day to day running of the shop floor and provide excellent customer service
     •  This opportunity is at our Duloch Shop in Dunfermline
     •  You will work with a small team to welcome customers into the shop, serve at the till and processing donations
     •  If you enjoy keeping busy while having a laugh with a great team, this opportunity is for you!

    Training provided:It's important to us that you feel happy, safe and confident in your role. As a CHAS volunteer you will be invited to complete a short core learning package that is tailored to your role. This can be done online or face to face with support. We are always developing new opportunities for volunteers to learn and offer a range of options for volunteers including over 25 free accredited online training courses from counselling skills to customer service through our partner organisation Skills Network Scotland. We also offer a full induction process where we provide full training on all aspects of the role. Trial shifts can also be arranged to help you decide if this is the right role for you.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Yes - CHAS reimburses reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred in the course of volunteering, including public transport on submission of receipts/tickets and car (current mileage rate = 45p), every month.

    Experience required:It would be great if you have good communication and customer service skills. It is important that you work well in a team and you share the same values with the organisation: respect, care honesty and accountability.
