    Post: Urban Community Farm Lead Horticulturist and Educator

    Hours: 40 per week

    Salary: £23,350

    St Andrews Botanic Garden wishes to appoint a senior member of the St Andrews Botanic Garden Horticulture Team who will have a unique opportunity to create and develop an exceptional small scale urban farm and community food garden in an influential University and Botanic Garden context. A total 1200m2 is prepared and available for immediate development for productive food growing to a commercial standard. Established volunteer groups are in place and formal ties with student groups established through previous years of this project.

    You will have excellent communication and planning skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team of both staff and volunteers. With a great eye for detail, you will have creative flair and bring innovative and imaginative solutions to both daily tasks and long term plans.
