Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland - Step by Step
Created: 14/03/2018Step by Step is a social group for people in Fife who have lost loved ones. Step by Step is here to support you socially if you are feeling isolated, lonely or just want to stay busy. At the moment there is a Step by Step group in Kirkcaldy you can join, there will be an additional group in Methil during April. It is an opportunity to meet new people, widen your social connections, feel a sense of belonging and perhaps pursue common interests or practical concerns in a relaxed friendly environment.
One reason people do not socialise as much after a bereavement is because they feel uncomfortable talking about their loss. At Step by Step, you do not have to talk about anything you do not want to you are simply there to connect with people and activities in your community. At Step by Step you can decide what activities or hobbies you want to pursue. With the support of volunteers and a group coordinator, they will make sure you can do the things you want from chats over tea, coffee and biscuits. Activities can be planned from painting, relaxation, meeting up in the community. This is a free service.
