    Scottish Funding Council - Flexible Workforce Development Fund

    To enable Colleges to engage more fully with employers the application closure and delivery end dates have been extended to 28 February 2018 and training contracted by 30 June 2018 respectively.

    Clarification on Health and Social Care eligible costs. Although the fund cannot be used for the registration regulation requirements it can be used for training purposes.

    The FWDF is a one-year pilot skills fund which bringing the college sector together with Scottish employers who support in-work training. It will support training needs of workers where a full Modern Apprenticeship might not be appropriate. The criteria encourages employers to give due consideration to specific groups, including older workers, low-skilled jobs and early service leavers. It is available to all levy-paying employers in Scotland across the private, public and third sector, and will be led by employer demand.

    Next date for applications is 28 February 2018.
