Helping Disabled people into the workplace – Free event for employers

Employ with Confidence is a major event aimed at helping employers lift the barriers that prevent disabled people from getting into the workplace is being held in Fife.
The event is free, with a wide range of support being showcased in relation to employing, recruiting and retaining staff who may have, or develop a health issue or disability.
A marketplace of stalls will give employers the opportunity to engage with a wide range of support organisations, including; Fit for Work Scotland, Jobcentre Plus/Disability Confident and the Workplace Team from Fife’s newly formed Health & Social Care Partnership.
In addition, the event will see the launch of ‘Disability Confident in Scotland’. This Scottish Government campaign encourages employers to recruit and retain disabled people who have the skills, talents and abilities that employers are looking for.
Organised by Opportunities Fife, in partnership with Shaw Trust Scotland, this promises to be an informative, high profile event. Employers must book their places by registering online.
