Win a Big BIG Bear!
Created: 24/05/2016
Polar bears are not often seen in Kirkcaldy, but for a few months now, this one (see pic) has been hiding out in New Volunteer House.
She is three foot high when sitting down (she does this a lot) and Michaela Lumley (pictured, left) a member of FVA’s Volunteering Development Team has been making friends with her. But now it’s time for Big Bear to make her way to a new home – what member of your family would love to snuggle into her? Whose day would you make when you take Big Bear home? Even better, it will only have cost you £1.
That’s because we are selling raffle tickets to win this gorgeous bear. So as long as you buy a ticket, you have a chance!
Every penny made will go to benefit refugees living in Fife (we’ll add it to the money made at our Big Sale in Oakley on 3 June).
If you are going to be at our Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards on the evening of 1 June in the Rothes Halls, there will be a chance to buy a ticket (or two!) there. And although Big Bear IS the Big Prize, she is not the only prize – there will be various other lovely gifts, all of which have been generously donated.
If you aren’t going to be at the Rothes Halls on 1 June, and you would like to buy a ticket, they are on sale at our Kirkcaldy office (New Volunteer House, 16 East Fergus Place, KY1 1XT). If you can’t get there by 1 June and really want a ticket, e-mail Janine to see what we can work out [email protected]
The draw will take place on the evening of 1 June so make sure you get your tickets by then.
It's free! Tell us about your event, news, training, vacancy etc. by completing a short form and we'll add it to our e-bulletins and website - accessed by thousands of people every month.
