Nominations open for Fife Voluntary Action’s Awards 2016

It’s that time of year again - our flagship Awards Ceremony for volunteers, community groups and voluntary organisations is back. This year's event will be held at Rothes Halls in Glenrothes on Wednesday 1 June 2016.
This is your chance to recognise and reward the effort of volunteers, organisations and community groups that are serving the people and communities of Fife.
Every nominated volunteer will receive a certificate to highlight their outstanding work. However, due to expected levels of demand there will be a shortlisting process. If your nomination has been shortlisted, you and the nominee(s) will be invited to the ceremony with all the other finalists, where a winner from each category will be announced on the night. All shortlisted organisations will also receive a certificate.
We have a great selection of categories to choose from, and invite you to nominate any volunteers or organisations that you think deserve the glory of being awarded at our prestigious ceremony. The organisation categories are open to any project, group or organisation operating within the voluntary or public sector.
Special recognition awards
As well as the volunteer and organisation categories, we will also be celebrating Long Service recognition for those volunteers that have given their time, skill and commitment to a group or organisation for a long time. This is your chance to say a special thanks to those that have been volunteering with you for more than five years.
We think every long serving volunteer is a winner, so every person nominated will receive their own recognition certificate and a select few will be invited to the ceremony.
We are also looking for those young volunteers signed up to the Saltire Awards scheme that have managed to achieve the 200 hour awards and who have gone above and beyond these hours. The Saltire Summit awards are given out to these exceptional young people.
