Fife Voluntary Action is currently assessing the feasibility of opening a voluntary sector hub in South West Fife.
We’d like to better understand the level of demand and so we’d like to hear from any organisation who is based, has a presence, or delivers services, in South West Fife to see if you’d be interested in office space, meeting space or client interview space within a new voluntary sector hub.
We are working closely with colleagues in Fife Council to explore giving a new lease of life to the former Rosyth Social Work office in Park Road. So far, this year, we’ve already opened two new voluntary sector hubs in Fife, one in Kirkcaldy – New Volunteer House (opened in August) and one in Leven – The Greig Institute (opened earlier this week!). Between both hubs, we now only have one office space available in Kirkcaldy!
Our hubs provide low-cost affordable rent, guaranteed fixed prices for the year, meeting space, shared services, networking opportunities and much more - all helping third sector organisations to focus on delivering services rather than managing premises.
The Rosyth Social Work office closed its doors in November 2014, and a new use is being sought for the building with some urgency. We believe it has significant potential as a hub but we need to know if it is something that the voluntary sector would wish to benefit from.
