Volunteer Managers’ Network Meeting
Created: 07/10/2013Theme: Volunteering and Employability
More and more people are turning to volunteering to help them into paid work, especially given the competitive nature of the current jobs’ market. The latest figures show that 7.2% of the Scottish population are unemployed, and last year 32% of the volunteers registering with Fife Voluntary Action were on Job Seekers’ Allowance.
Volunteers who are unemployed come with their own specific needs, but often have a fantastic range of skills and experience for organisations to utilise. Book a place at the Volunteer Managers Network meeting to find out how best to meet the needs of volunteers who are looking for work, and discover some of the fantastic skills that they have to offer!
