By submitting a booking for this event you agree to pay this fee for those delegates who have places booked but do not attend.

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

This course will explore the principles of background checking of all types for both staff and volunteers. Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) underwent significant changes in April 2025 and this course will provide an updated overview of PVG and Disclosure regulations for 2025.

The course will provide information about:

    • General information about PVG and disclosure checking
    • The different types of disclosure check available and which roles require which type of check
    • Regulated Roles that must be checked by organisations
    • A brief look at how to go about processing checks
    • Safe recruitment: risk assessment and other good practice measures

PVG is now a legal requirement, with different roles requiring a check than before the legislation changes. Come along to find out how PVG and Disclosure apply to your organisation and to ask any questions that you have.
