About the Older Persons' Service
This service combats loneliness and isolation in older adults through 1:1 support at home, volunteer befriending, and social cafes. Many service users have a dementia diagnosis, and regular support makes a meaningful difference to their daily lives.
The Role
You'll provide light-touch support to older individuals, helping with emotional wellbeing through shared interests and practical tasks such as attending health appointments, collecting prescriptions, shopping, and social outings. You'll also help connect individuals to their communities and work closely with volunteers and other team members.
About you
You're comfortable using technology, understand issues affecting older people (including dementia), and can manage your own caseload. You work well in a team and communicate openly. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
