This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.
Befriending Networks is an organisation that is designed to support any befriending organisation in the UK and beyond. They are here to help and they do this through resources, good practice guidance, training, events and 1:1 support to staff within projects. On special occasions, like Volunteer Week (02-08 June), they also support befrienders directly. This is a free event for befrienders.
This celebration and networking event is open to any befriender, within any project, who is delivering befriending through any distance method. This can include, but is not limited to:
- Telephone befriending
- Letter or e-mail befriending
- Chat or message befriending
- Video call befriending
This event is bringing together befrienders to meet others in similar roles, to network and access peer support, while learning and recognising the work and positive impact of befriending.
