It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

The Fife Council Improvement Service is delighted to be working together with Forces Children Scotland to invite professionals and stakeholders to learn more about children’s rights within an Armed Forces context.

This webinar will explore the critical areas of protection, provision, and participation rights, bringing these to life through co-produced animations from children and young people from forces families. The webinar will provide invaluable insights into the specific challenges and strengths of children from forces families and will showcase how professionals can effectively support these children, utilising the newly developed resources and charter as practical tools for meaningful intervention.

Participants will also be introduced to Forces Children Scotland’s newly developed Children’s Rights Charter -- a comprehensive framework designed to support and empower children and young people.

    Speakers include:

    • Megan Thomas, Deputy CEO of Forces Children
    • Nina Collins, Participation Manager
    • Judith Blair, Learning and Development Worker

They will guide attendees through the charter's development process and demonstrate ways to implement its principles across various professional settings.

Forces Children Scotland is committed to providing a rights-based approach to supporting children from forces families, and this webinar will help amplify some of the work that is currently underway.

    Who can attend?

This free webinar is open to all colleagues working in local government in Scotland who are interested in children’s rights. Please share with colleagues across your organisation including those who work in areas such as housing, financial inclusion, community learning and development, education and children’s services and employability.
