Help the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) find the next big issues for young people by sharing your views on their next manifesto.
The manifesto will shape the campaigning direction of SYP until 2031 and it's an excellent opportunity for young people to have their voices heard on the issues affecting them, in line with their Article 12 right enshrined in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
There are proposed policies grouped under five themes:
- Education
- Public services
- Sustainability
- Social justice
- Rights
How to take part
If you work with young people, they need your help to bring their next manifesto to life. Whether you can dedicate an hour or even 15 minutes, there are lots of ways you can play a role.
Run a session with your group: They have session plans and accompanying slides for a 15-minute or 45-minute session in their resource hub.
Invite SYP to your youth club: Their team are visiting schools and youth clubs around the country. Get in touch to invite them to run sessions with you.
The closing date for submissions is Sunday 15 June 2025.
