    Created: 28/01/2025
    News/Events Category: Children and Families

Families struggling with festive bills are being urged to contact the Children First support line for help.

The charity's support line offers guidance on budgeting, benefits, debt, and energy bills to assist families in managing their finances.

Last year, the charity assisted nearly 1,000 families in claiming £1.9 million-worth of unclaimed benefits, grants, and budget support.

Alongside financial challenges, the support line can provide free help and advice on mental health issues, online harm, and school struggles.

Their friendly support line team will listen to your worries, free of judgement, and start to help you put together a plan to get back to financial health.

Families can contact the support line by calling 08000 28 22 33 between 9.00am and 9.00pm, Monday to Friday, or 9.00am to 12.00pm on weekends.

For those who find phone calls daunting, there is also the option to reach the support line through a web chat on the charity's website.
