    DataKirk is an Edinburgh-based social enterprise dedicated to closing Scotland's data divide and attainment gap.

    Founded in 2019, Datakirk is committed to leading the way for Scottish ethnic minority communities by ensuring everyone has the education and skills to succeed in life and work. Together, Datakirk elevates skills, shapes futures, and transform lives by unlocking potential for successful futures.

    Datakirk focuses on fostering connections between diverse communities, organisations, and individuals to promote inclusivity and collaboration. Tailored training programs aim to close the data and attainment gap by equipping under-represented groups with essential digital economy skills. Through mentorship, training, and career opportunities, Datakirk builds strong talent pipeline to meet industry demands and support a thriving workforce.

    Accredited Courses and Specialised Training

    • NPA in Data Science (Levels 4 & 5): One of the world's first school-level data science qualifications
    • PDA in Data Science (Level 7): Designed for individuals in employment who wish to acquire data skills relevant to their current job role. This award focuses on improving effectiveness in roles that may be non-technical or not directly related to data science
    • Diploma in Data Analytics (Level 8): In-depth analytics training for employment or further study
    • Specialised Course Training: Practical training in essential digital tools and technologies, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point Power BI for Business Intelligence, SQL, AI, Python, Machine Learning, and general digital/IT skills

    Youth and Community Programmes

    • Data Literacy Club (Level 1 – 4): Provides young people (ages 8–13) to develop essential data skills and life skills
    • GEN-AI for Kids (aged 8 – 12): Young learners who are naturally curious about technology and enjoy interactive, creative activities
    • GEN-AI for Teens (aged 13 -18): Passionate about technology and innovation, who want to explore AI’s potential for real-world problem solving
    • GEN-AI for All (18+): Adults including professionals, entrepreneurs, educators and lifelong learners keen to understand and leverage AI in their personal or professional lives; Community members curious about how AI is shaping various industries
    • RoboFest: Robotics training for ages 12-18, leading to participation in the First Tech Challenge UK
