Child and Family Primary Care Psychology Groups
Created: 15/01/2025The primary care psychology team in the Child and Family service have been working hard to update the groups offered to children, young people and their families in Fife.
They have new groups starting in January 2025 which include:
Parenting an Anxious Child (PAC)
The new group has been developed for parents of primary school-aged children looking to learn more about how to support them with anxiety. The group is split into parent-only and parent-and-child sessions (9-11 years old), where parents will have the opportunity to support their children to learn ways to manage their anxious feelings.
This group has three parent-only sessions and two parent-and-child sessions. Parent-and-child sessions are divided by age, with older child sessions happening face-to-face and online.
The first group is due to start on Thursday 30 January 2025. The venue is to be confirmed soon.
