    Link Academy is now accepting referrals for new cohorts for the Step On programme, running over three areas in Fife - Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and Markinch.

    Delivery will start in January 2025 with initial meetings for interested young people held throughout December 2024.

    Kirkcaldy

    Venue: West Bridge Mill, Kirkcaldy

    Dates & Times: Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (10.00-3.00) from January 2025

    Length of Course: 12 weeks (with ongoing one-to-one support)

    Eligibility: People aged 16-19, not in employment or other training who are looking to build confidence and employability skills and improve wellbeing.

    The programme consists of workshops which promote wellbeing. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in physical activity, delivered by Raith Rovers Community Foundation where they will learn leadership and team-working skills and have volunteering opportunities. Participants will also gain valuable employability skills, develop confidence, learn from peers and complete practical tasks such as completion of the SCQF Level 4 Employability Award.

     

    Dunfermline

    Venue: Pitreavie Sports and Soccer Centre, Dunfermline

    Dates & Times: Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday  (09.30 -2.30) from January 2025

    Length of Course: 12 weeks (with ongoing one-to-one support)

    Eligibility: People aged 16-19, not in employment or other training who are looking to build confidence and employability skills and improve wellbeing.

    The course will consist of workshops which promote wellbeing, where participants will have the opportunity to take part in physical activity and creative interests, delivered by the Pars Foundation. Participants will also gain valuable employability skills, develop confidence, learn from peers and complete practical tasks such as completion of the SCQF Level 4 Employability Award.

     

    Markinch

    Venue: 252 Memorial Hall, Markinch

    Dates & Times: Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday  (10.00-3.00)  from January 2025

    Length of Course: 12 weeks (with ongoing one-to-one support)

    Eligibility: People aged 16-19, not in employment or other training who are looking to build confidence and employability skills and improve wellbeing.

    The course will consist of workshops which promote wellbeing, where participants will have the opportunity to take part in physical activity and creative interests, delivered by a range of local partner organisations. Participants will also gain valuable employability skills, develop confidence, learn from peers and complete practical tasks such as completion of the SCQF Level 4 Employability Award.
