    Location: Toll Community Centre, East Toll Park, Kirkcaldy Road, Burntisland, KY3 9HA 

    Toll Community Centre is a busy, volunteer run community centre with associated high street hub. They work in partnership with the local community to support neighbourhood and family networks and to facilitate local participation, providing access to facilities and services that fulfil the needs of the local community. The centre is a place where everyone is welcome and valued. Working in partnership with Fife Council, they offer a range of free and paid courses and services, alongside commercial groups that meet within the premises.

    About the Role

    As Centre Manager, the post holder is required to lead the team of staff and volunteers to plan, coordinate, and direct a broad range of services that allow the organisation to operate efficiently and effectively.

    The post holder will develop services required to enable Toll Community Centre and Hub to provide a professional and person-centred approach to serving the local community including the monitoring of all activities and managing day to day building and maintenance issues.

    They will support our information systems where appropriate, maintaining records with regards to volunteering, finance, bookings, payroll, and any other operational requirement.

    The post holder will be supported by a Clerical Assistant on day-to-day tasks such as record keeping, e-mails and phone calls, bookings and diaries and financial processing etc. The Management Committee will also provide support, and the Staff Liaison Officer will be a specific point of contact for the Centre Manager.

    The post holder will drive a process of continuous improvement across all aspects of the business, ensuring appropriate policies are produced and implemented within the facilities i.e. health and safety, child protection etc. and that all legal requirements are fully complied with. 

    In addition, the post holder will attend meetings and networking events to promote the work of the organisation and make good connections with other organisations.
