  • Human Rights Commission - Guidance on hybrid working for disabled workers

    Created: 26/09/2024
    News/Events Category: Employability

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has published new guidance to help employers understand their legal obligations and the practical steps to take to best support disabled employees with hybrid working.

The Equality Act 2010 places a duty on employers to make reasonable adjustments, meaning they must take steps to remove, reduce or prevent obstacles faced by disabled employees. Making these adjustments creates environments where staff can feel more comfortable and be more productive at work.

The guidance includes conversation prompts to ensure managers foster a culture where reasonable adjustments can be discussed openly. It covers all stages of employment, including recruitment.
