Social Enterprise Scotland - Commissioning with Communities
Created: 26/09/2024Social Enterprise Scotland and the TSI Network, in partnership with TSEF, will host Commissioning with Communities. This session is an introduction to why it matters, how it can be done well, and common pitfalls.
The recently launched No One Left Behind Strategic Action Plan continues to emphasise the importance of Service Design approaches in shaping local relevant employability strategy, commissioning and services across Scotland. Engaging meaningfully with those they aim to support through co-production and collaboration is central to doing Service Design well. This session will provide an introduction to the value and importance of commissioning with communities.
Participants will hear examples of different approaches to involving community voices in both designing and implementing commissioning strategies and what difference this can make to the resultant services. It will also touch on common challenges, and how to work with them.
The session welcomes Amy Hurst from Collaborate CIC and Helen Sharp from the Ideas Alliance both of whom have a wealth of experience in this arena in commissioning, strategy development and systems thinking.
