    This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we will charge a non-attendance fee of £25.00 per delegate. By submitting a booking for this event you agree to pay this fee for those delegates who have places booked but do not attend.

    Cancellations can be received up to 5 working days ahead of the event, thus avoiding non-attendance fees. A cancellation will only be valid if we have confirmed it with you. You can send somebody else in place of a booked delegate without incurring a non-attendance fee.

    This is a one day seminar organised by Fife’s Engaging Communities Network in partnership between Fife Council, Fife Voluntary Action and the Corra Foundation.

    Community Engagement continues to play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting Community Planning and activities in our communities across Scotland.

    The seminar is a result of collaboration between Community Planning partners aimed at strengthening community engagement practice throughout Fife and designed for Managers, Staff, Volunteers and anyone with a genuine interest in improving their community engagement practice, understand and the importance of good community engagement work in our communities as well as its important role in developing Community Led Services and Thriving Communities.

    By the end of the seminar participants will:

    • Have the chance to explore with Mae Shaw – a Community Engagement Critical Guide for Practitioners
    • Have a raised awareness of the Community Engagement Network, what it does and how to become more involved
    • Understand how good community engagement practice can help deliver the 4 key themes for “Plan4Fife”
    • Have an opportunity to explore best practice of  community engagement practice
    • Have had the opportunity to network and learn about other services and their engagement practice
    • Find out about Fife Council’s new online engagement platform and some of the tools and processes which are in place to support it
