    Post: Maintenance Lead Operative 
    Contract: Permanent 
    Hours: 36 hours per week 
    Salary: £25,829 - £28,251 per annum
    Location: Pitcairn Centre, Glenrothes (working throughout Fife)

     

    The successful candidate would require to plan, coordinate, carry out, and supervise maintenance tasks and major projects on the Fife Coastal Path, beaches, Fife Pilgrim Way, the Lomond Hills Regional Park and any other site, in the interest of Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT).

    You will coordinate workload and monitor the standard of work being completed to ensure this achieves the requirements of the Service Level Agreement with partner organisations.

    About you

    FCCT is looking for a driven and proactive individual to join our team. You will bring with you the following skills and experience:

    • At least two years' experience of working in a countryside/estate worker/landscaping role
    • Experience in path construction, installation, and maintenance of countryside furniture including gates, fences, signs, bridges and boardwalks
    • Certification in at least two of the following: chainsaw, brush cutter, digger, dumper, roller, pesticide application, first aid, woodchipper, tractor driving, large trailer towing, ATV’s, off-road driving, welding
    • Background/experience in nature conservation and environmental work
    • Experience of working with landowners, suppliers, and the public
    • Experience in a supervisory role, showing an ability to guide and motivate others
    • Good organisational skills demonstrating the ability to prioritise workloads and coordinate resources
    • Enthusiasm for the role and flexibility to meet changing needs
    • Working knowledge of health and safety
    • Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
    • Ability to work as part of a team or individually
    • Ability to send and receive email messages and basic PC skills
